Founded in 2021 with the support of IDEA, their community committee, and local cosmetic chemist Stace Fraser, Beauty & Bloom is a heartfelt collaboration of individuals with diverse abilities who share a love for creativity.

Today, the Beauty & Bloom team mostly live together, embracing the joys of independent living while supporting each other in their shared journey.

With a passion for making beautiful, high-quality personal care products, each member contributes their unique skills and talents, ensuring that every creation is made with care, purpose, and joy for others to enjoy.

    What makes you smile or feel proud when creating Beauty & Bloom products?

    It makes me happy and proud to be part of the team and doing my job with pride.

    How does it feel to be part of the Beauty & Bloom team?

    It make makes me feel good and happy to be in a team with my friends.

    What do you love most in your role?

    I like putting the dried flowers in the bottles before adding the oil. It makes the bottle more pretty and makes more appealing to our buyers.

    What do you love most in your role?

    Filling the bottles with magnesium oil and closing and putting the sticker of Beauty & Bloom to let our product be remembered.

    How does it feel to be part of the Beauty & Bloom team?

    I feel amazed and very happy when we are doing the product together it makes me feel connected to my friends. Also I am happy working as scientific adviser for Beauty & Bloom team.

    What makes you smile or feel proud when creating Beauty & Bloom products?

    Being around the guys makes me smile and making products together with my friends. Also seeing new products that we are making makes me proud and smile.

    What's your favourite thing about working at Beauty & Bloom?

    Making products combining and securing to have a very beautiful product.

    What do you love most in your role?

    My favourite task to do is to pour the ingredients together and putting in the  bottle the room spray and testing how it smells good.

    Feeling happy being a part of the team. Communicating and sharing thoughts to everyone.

    What's your favourite thing about working at Beauty & Bloom?

    Enjoy doing the Production of Beauty & Bloom Products is the aroma while the product is nice and also making the product with my boyfriend Jared makes me happy.

    What do you love most about your role?

    Making the Magnesium Oil. Mixing it together and making it smell good.

    The smell of the products make me smile.

    Cam enjoys doing the weekly inventory. For him, it’s more than just counting products—it’s about creating order, ensuring smooth operations, and taking pride in the details that keep everything running behind the scenes.

The Support Crew

Kia ora Koutou, my name is Renee - Service Manager at IDEA Services and Beauty & Bloom.

I have worked in the health and disability sector for 20 years. I have built my career around compassion, care, and connection. Throughout this journey, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals from all walks of life, helping them achieve greater independence, build confidence, and find joy in everyday moments. My passion lies in empowering people, focusing not just on what they need, but on what they can do. I was fortunate enough to be involved in the re-introduction of Beauty & Bloom back in 2024. The concept of Beauty & Bloom excited me. Seeing the enjoyment, love and care our people put into making these beautiful, good quality products and the pride shown in their achievements was something I just needed to help build on.  

Every day in this field brings something new, and I remain as passionate as ever about making a positive impact and nurture the growth in every individual.
