Our Makers Are Magazine Stars! Beauty & Bloom Featured in Metropol
Well, our village... we've done it again. First it was TVNZ's Seven Sharp, and now our perfectly imperfect team has landed in the pages of Metropol, Canterbury's favourite lifestyle magazine!
For those who haven't picked up a copy, Metropol is Canterbury's much-loved lifestyle magazine — celebrating the people, places and stories shaping Christchurch and its surrounds for over 25 years. So you can imagine how special it feels to see our makers among those pages.
Metropol editor Nina Tucker took a day trip to Rangiora to meet the makers behind Beauty & Bloom, and the resulting two-page feature is everything we could have hoped for. Lab coats on and smiles at the ready, Alicia, Jared, Amanda, Emma, Becca and Cam welcomed Nina like family — because that's just how they do things around here.
The article shares the story of how our cosmetic product designer Stacey Fraser, the award-winning mind behind skincare heavyweights like Trilogy, volunteered her time and knowledge to create our thoughtful range of bath and body oils, room fragrances, magnesium sprays and pillow perfumes — all handcrafted from start to finish by our team.
Our favourite part? Hearing the makers share what Beauty & Bloom means to them. "We've become a big family and that's what it's all about. We're making a difference," Jared told Metropol. We couldn't have said it better ourselves.
As Stacey put it: "Beauty & Bloom represents inclusion in action. It's about creating beautiful products, but it is also about creating pride, belonging and a sense of possibility."
